Marula Rehab Telehealth provides private, secure, online treatment for substance use and alcohol-related concerns. Our mission is to make high-quality care accessible to every Utah resident.
2. Who We Serve
- Utah residents physically located in Utah during sessions
- Adults 18+ (or eligible youth)
- Individuals seeking help with substance use or alcohol dependency
- Clients with a private space and internet-enabled device
- Clients willing to participate in telehealth treatment
3. How Telehealth Sessions Work
Before Your First Appointment
- Online intake forms
- Identity verification
- Consent forms
- Clinical assessment
During Each Session
- You must be in Utah
- You must be in a private, quiet space
- Your clinician may confirm your location
- Your clinician may verify your identity
- Sessions are never recorded
If Technology Fails
- Try reconnecting
- Your clinician will attempt reconnection for 10 minutes
- You may receive a phone call
- Emergency services may be contacted if safety is a concern
4. Your Privacy & Confidentiality
Your privacy is protected by:
- HIPAA
- 42 CFR Part 2
- Utah privacy laws

- Clear information about your diagnosis and treatment plan

6. Your Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled appointments
- Participate honestly
- Maintain privacy during sessions
- Avoid attending sessions while driving
- Follow your treatment plan

8. Attendance & Participation
Individual Sessions
Please arrive on time. Sessions may be rescheduled if you are more than 10 minutes late.
Group Sessions
- Camera must remain on
- Confidentiality is required
- No recording
- No disruptive behavior
9. Emergencies & Crisis Situations
If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
10. Medications & Medical Care
We do not prescribe medication directly. We can coordinate with medical providers with your written permission.
11. Fees, Billing & Good Faith Estimates
We follow the federal No Surprises Act and provide written Good Faith Estimates.
12. Ending Treatment
You may end treatment at any time. You will receive a discharge summary and aftercare recommendations.
13. How to File a Complaint
You may contact the Program Director, Privacy Officer, or Utah DHHS at any time.
